Biography
Priya handles the part of family law that ends happily. She manages the firm's adoption docket, from stepparent adoptions where the paperwork is straightforward to contested terminations that take a year and a full evidentiary hearing.
She is also a credentialed mediator and spends roughly a quarter of her time settling other lawyers' cases. That experience has made her unusually good at predicting how an opposing party will react to a proposal, which she brings back to her own clients.
Priya drafts the firm's premarital and partition agreements. She is direct with engaged couples about what these documents can and cannot do, and she will not draft for both sides of a couple, whatever the client says about how amicable it is.
She is fluent in Tamil and Hindi and has handled several adoptions involving international documentation and consular authentication.
